Job Description:

Our client is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join their busy Team.
  
Electrical Design Engineer
£70,000 – £80,000 – Negotiable
Nottinghamshire – Hybrid
  
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within the energy sector and have experience dealing with Independent Connection Provider (ICP) Projects or working within a DNO environment, ideally up to 132kv. Within the role you will be working on a range of projects developing electrical designs for substation layouts, earthing systems, protection schemes and control systems amongst the following duties –

• Produce technical specifications, drawings, and calculations to meet project requirements and industry standards (BS 7671, G99, etc.).
• Select and specify electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, protection relays) for optimal performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with clients, DNOs (Distribution Network Operators), and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare technical reports and other documentation as required.
• Produce equipment sizing, layouts, schematics, protection control, keyline, and cable block diagrams.
