We’re looking for an Internal Communications Manager to lead our internal communications and colleague engagement activity.
You’ll develop and deliver an organisation-wide engagement strategy, helping colleagues feel informed, involved and connected to our vision and priorities. Working closely with senior leaders, directors and elected members, you’ll provide expert communications advice and lead high-profile engagement and change communications activity.
What you’ll do

• Lead the development and delivery of a colleague engagement strategy.
• Act as the strategic lead for internal communications.
• Deliver engaging campaigns that build understanding, involvement and pride.
• Review and improve internal communication channels and platforms.
• Lead communications for organisational change and transformation programmes.
• Use insight and analytics to shape activity and measure impact.
• Ensure communications are clear, inclusive and accessible.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and with key stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

• Significant experience leading internal communications and engagement strategies.
• Strong experience advising senior leaders on strategic communications.
• A track record of delivering change communications and complex programmes.
• Experience improving communication channels and using data to demonstrate impact.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills.
• A degree or professional qualification in communications, PR, marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience within local government or a similarly complex public sector organisation would be advantageous.
