Job Description:

Our established client is currently looking to recruit a Fire Safety Surveyor on an initial 3 month contract, working on a hybrid basis.
  
Fire Safety Surveyor
3 months – Brighton
£24 per hour inside IR35
  
The successful candidate will have previous experience in Fire Safety or Health and Safety and ideally have managed fire safety across residential buildings.  Within the role you assist the Fire Safety Manager to effectively and efficiently plan and deliver fire safety programmes and requirements and planned maintenance programmes to housing stock, including contract monitoring, financial management and contract compliance, will deliver fire safety compliance and inspect works carried out by contractors amongst the following –

• To take responsibility for co-ordination and management of matters relating to structural and fire safety for housing stock.
• To manage resident engagement ensuring that fire safety concerns are recorded, monitored, and dealt with appropriately.
• To undertake fire safety audits as required on properties which will include monthly visits.  Following inspections to report any deficiencies and then monitor repairs as may have been required to satisfactory conclusion including reporting to the Fire Service as required and necessary.
• To lead on remedial works resulting from Fire Safety audits and to set deadlines and ensure completion and compliance.
• To review Fire Risk Assessments actions and follow up on these to satisfactory conclusion.
• To carry out joint visits to housing stock with other departments (housing management & repairs service) when identifying potential fire hazards or post inspecting repair works.

 The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Fire Risk Assessor, and have knowledge or experience in construction or housing, however this isn’t essential.
