Job Description:

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Homelessness Prevention Officer to join their Rugby based office on a hybrid basis, initially on a 3 month contract.
  
Homelessness Prevention Officer
£20.50 per hour
Rugby – Hybrid
  
The successful candidate will have previous experience managing homelessness applications and an understanding of the homelessness legislation.  Within the role you will work with clients to prevent homelessness and where this isn’t possible support them into alternative accommodation. 
Key duties

• Conduct housing need interviews
• Assess homeless applications and manage the Housing Waiting List.
• Coordinate temporary accommodation and liaise with support providers.
• Facilitate alternative accommodation in the Private Rented Sector.
• Collaborate with external agencies for client support.
• Work with partners to resolve housing issues and prevent homelessness.
