Job Description:

We are recruiting a Housing Repairs Manager on a 6 month initial contract to lead the electrical repairs team.

Your main duties will include:

• Lead and manage a team of supervisors and operatives delivering repairs, maintenance and improvement works, ensuring full compliance with building regulations and housing legislation
• Drive excellence in electrical testing, planned maintenance and responsive repairs
• Collaborate with contractors, internal colleagues and stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of services
• Oversee staff onboarding, development and performance management to promote team continuity and capability
• Support the Service Manager in monitoring and updating repairs policies, embedding best practice and innovation
• Ensure effective customer engagement, empowering tenants in how services are shaped and delivered
• Embed a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across your team

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• HNC or equivalent qualification in a construction or building related subject or management studies 
• Proven experience in a building, surveying or social housing environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety
• Managing technically skilled staff
• Strong project leadership skills

The role will be 3-4 days in the office and to start ASAP.

Rate of pay: £37.00 per hour via a umbrella company
