HR Employee Relations Manager

Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Employee Relations Manager on a 6 month initial contract for a world famous academic institution based in London.
As Employee Relations Manager will work in conjunction with the team of ER professionals to ensure that the treatment of employees is fair, respectful and consistent with policies and values, and act as a source of expertise for the delivery of effective ER solutions. This will include rolling out the ER strategy to deliver a positive ER climate.
You will also manage a number of ER cases which can be complex and highly sensitive and looking at ways to solve these cases as well as working closely with the Heads of HR and HR Business Partners.
Other tasks will include working on engagement strategies, lead case work with the legal team on any tribunals, train and coach line managers on ER and also line manage a ER Administrator.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Significant employee relations management experience
- Experience managing and advising on complex ER issues
- Dealing with trade unions
- Working in a complex and large scale organisation
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- CIPD Qualified
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Tenacious and resilient
- Logical decision maker
This role will be hybrid based working 2 days from the office and 3 days from home.
Day Rate: £300-350 per day via umbrella company.
