Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Principal Technical Architect for a Government Department on a 12 month initial contract.
  
Reporting into the CTO you will lead the overall technical design and delivery across the Products & Services domain including data, digital and technology, ensuring technical coherence whilst identifying and resolving gaps that may risk ultimate achievement of benefits or threaten longer term sustainability.
  
You will also:

• Design and evolve future state technical capability roadmaps
• Support programme and project managers in shaping delivery activities to ensure a smooth transition of work into operational capability
• Deliver design assurance across services and systems developed within the domain
• Lead and participate in the architecture community to share knowledge and practice, mentoring Lead Technical Architects and aspiring Lead Technical Architects to support skills and career development

  
The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with an track record of leading Teams, architecting solutions and ensuring these align with business strategy. Candidates will also ideally be TOGAF qualified.
  
Candidates will need to be eligible for SC Security Clearance so preference will be given to candidates who hold current clearance.
  
The role will mainly be remote based but with occasional attendance at the office in Exeter.
  
Day Rate: Up to £880 per day via a umbrella company.
