Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a public sector client on a initial 6 month contract mainly working from home. 

They are currently implementing a new NEC housing management solution and require a PL/SQL Developer to support with the below:  

• Develop and maintain Oracle database applications using the PL/SQL programming language
• PLSQL/SQL, Linux/UNIX etc. including some API development exposure – Designing and developing database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using PL/SQL
• Optimizing database performance by tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
• Developing and executing test plans to ensure the quality and accuracy of PL/SQL code.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to PL/SQL code.
• Technical expertise including data extraction and transformation using PL/SQL (Oracle and SQL server)

Current commercial experience of developing applications in a business environment, ideally local or central government or a housing association would be preferred but not essential.

The target day rate for this role is in the region of £450 per day via a umbrella company.
