Job Description:

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to deliver a cost saving programme on a part time basis (3 days per week), initially for 6 months.

£495 per day inside IR35
Remote – 6 months
  
The successful candidate be an experienced Project Manager with experience delivering cost saving projects / programmes, ideally within the public sector.   The client has identified a range of savings and income generation opportunities and this role is required to lead in delivering the budget pressure mitigation plan.  You will ensure the project is running as planned, work closely with the internal teams, will create a detailed action plan around the saving opportunities and manage the complete lifecycle of the project.
  
Key duties

• – Review and update the mandate for the project that quickly and unambiguously establishes the scope, objectives and baseline of the project
• – Form solid working relationships with internal team members to produce a detailed plan to deliver the project outcomes sought.
• – Producing and baselining a comprehensive, task-level plan
• – Developing and tracking a benefit realisation plan, clearly articulating the owners for benefits, and how and when benefits (budget savings) will be achieved
• – Designing and coordinating comms, consultation and engagement with relevant stakeholders
• – Maintaining and reporting on a view of progress against plan, budget, project deliverables as well as target savings
• – Managing risks/issues and escalating as required

The ideal candidate will be Prince 2 qualified or equivalent and have delivered cost saving projects.
